Previous Safety Updates
Thank you for taking a moment to review our previous safety updates for The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando.
We're In This Together!
A Message from Rod O'Connor
Our team here at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families good health throughout this unexpected pandemic. It is during these times that we truly reflect on what is important in life – Health, Family, Friendships, our First Responders, Healthcare Workers and kind wishes for everyone globally. It is interesting that the materialistic, tangible values become less important. We are sending this not as a solicitation, but as an update on what we are doing to also protect our future guests and team members.
- Social Distancing is key! We’re placing signage in the appropriate areas to remind people of the importance of staying 6 ft. apart from others and will be enforcing it for the comfort and safety of all guests and team members.
- We didn’t forget the furniture! All public areas will have tables, chairs and loungers socially distanced. We can’t control movement of the furniture but that’s where we need your help by leaving furniture right where it is during your stay.
- Any member of our staff that enters a guest room will be required to wear a mask and gloves until the pandemic passes.
- Digital signage will be placed in our lobby that provides CDC tips for safe traveling and safety measures for you to be aware of during your stay.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be provided in various public areas and also back-of-house areas for team members.
- Frequency schedules of sanitizing guest rooms, public washrooms, all facility outlets such as food & beverage areas, fitness center, game room, all public areas front and back-of-the-house with CDC recommended sanitizing solutions.
We will be monitoring all recommendations from all governmental agencies especially those published by the CDC and federal & local authorities to promote a safe environment. We realize these are uncertain times and we want you to know that we will do our part to try not to contribute to further outbreaks of this pandemic. Although no one can be certain of when or if this pandemic will affect them directly. So, we urge you and your families to keep all best practices in place in your home and when you resume your normal daily routine; of which we are hopeful will be soon.
We may be providing you with more updates as we move further along the road to recovery.
Sincerely & with social distancing,
Rod O'Connor

December 27, 2021 Update:
The following is attributable to CDC Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky: “The Omicron variant is spreading quickly and has the potential to impact all facets of our society. CDC’s updated recommendations for isolation and quarantine balance what we know about the spread of the virus and the protection provided by vaccination and booster doses. These updates ensure people can safely continue their daily lives. Prevention is our best option: get vaccinated, get boosted, wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial and high community transmission, and take a test before you gather.”
- Continue to recommend for fully vaccinated people to wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission.
- Added information that fully vaccinated people might choose to wear a mask regardless of the level of transmission, particularly if they are immunocompromised or at increased risk for severe disease from COVID-19, or if they have someone in their household who is immunocompromised, at increased risk of severe disease or not fully vaccinated.
- Added recommendation for fully vaccinated people who have a known exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 to be tested 3-5 days after exposure, and to wear a mask in public indoor settings for 5 days or until they receive a negative test result.
- CDC is shortening to 5 days, if asymptomatic, followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others.
- CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by the strict use of a well-fitting mask use for an additional 5 days. If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19.
- Isolation relates to behavior after a confirmed infection. Isolation for 5 days followed by wearing a well-fitting mask will minimize the risk of spreading the virus to others. Quarantine refers to the time following exposure to the virus or close contact with someone known to have COVID-19. Both updates come as the Omicron variant continues to spread throughout the U.S. and reflects the current science on when and for how long a person is maximally infectious.
We appreciate everyone’s assistance and cooperation in this matter.
May 1st Update
Dear Future Guests,
It is during these times that we truly reflect on what is important in life – Health, Family, Friendships, our First Responders, Healthcare Workers and kind wishes of good health for everyone globally. It is interesting that the materialistic, tangible values become less important and how incredibly humbling this pandemic has been for all of us. We at Paramount Hospitality Management (PHM), like many other companies, had to make difficult decisions regarding our hotels and team members that have not been easy to make by any means.
As the country moves further into a recovery mode, it is encouraging for us all to now have a ray of hope that we will succeed in defeating this pandemic. We are confident that all nations will continue to work together to further complete the race to produce a vaccine to minimize any future reoccurrence.
Currently, the State of Florida is moving toward its phase two (2) of the three (3) tier recovery plan. As we now see businesses re-opening, restaurants and retail store capacities are at fifty percent (50%). Frequent announcements are now being made of additional openings of our world-famous malls, entertainment venues and even a hint of our theme parks planning to re-open within weeks and not months. How encouraging is that! We are ever mindful though that “Health and Safety” must always come first. As an independent company, you will read on our proprietary website a detailed “Health & Safety Recovery Plan” for both our guests and team members. This plan is written taking a realistic approach to expediting “best practices” to encourage the health and safety of all. You will realize on-site that the awareness is active in all areas of the property. Our practices are based upon educational sessions, training team members, heightened guest awareness and a good common-sense approach that is in keeping with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as well as governmental mandates. Each operating department at our hotels and resorts has been diligent to prepare their own customized set of procedures, even more detailed than what you will read in our “Health & Safety Recovery Plan”.
We will continue to monitor all recommendations from all governmental agencies especially those published by the CDC and federal & local authorities to promote a safe environment. As such, this plan will be amended accordingly and as often as necessary.
In closing, I would like to wish you, your family and friends good health and safety, always.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

April 28th Update
Dear Guests,
In these uncertain times, I wanted to reach out to you regarding what Paramount Hospitality Management (PHM) is doing to support your upcoming travel plans at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando. As the circumstances with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve daily, please be assured that we are doing all that we can to ensure your travel safety.
At PHM, we are first and foremost always concerned about the safety and wellbeing of our team members and our guests. The coronavirus has been an outbreak that we have been closely monitoring since the first notification of this dilemma. We share in the sympathy of those that have lost their lives to this virus and to their respective families. For those that have this virus, we pray for your speedy recovery.
As a company, we are following this situation daily in addition to following the precautionary measures that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have been advising on. We are making hand sanitizing stations available in our public areas for all guests and team members to utilize and we have increased the frequency in which we sanitize all public areas. For your reference, we are sharing this guide provided by the CDC: 5 Tips to Stay Healthy While Traveling, so that you can feel more confident in important steps to take. We also have this guide available at our front desk to hand out to all guests in order for them to take precautionary measures when traveling as well as to heighten their awareness to be proactive. Additionally, below is a list of key steps that we are actively training all of our team members on:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
In closing, it is important that we follow the CDC and WHO as well as other local government agencies’ advice without creating panic. May we find an antidote that will get this virus under control and allow us all to resume our normal daily activities without worry.
Sincerely,
Marco A. Manzie CHA, CAM
